The inaugural edition of NFPA 1960 consolidates five standards into one.
NFPA 1960, Standard for Fire Hose Connections, Spray Nozzles, Manufacturer’s Design of Fire Department Ground Ladders, Fire Hose, and Powered Rescue Tools, consolidates NFPA 1931, NFPA 1936, NFPA 1961, NFPA 1963, and NFPA 1964 into a single standard that defines the design, construction, inspection, and testing requirements for new fire hose, spray nozzles, ladders, rescue tools, and more.
2024 Edition of NFPA 1960 was approved as an American National Standard on December 21, 2023. This standard can be applied as follows: Chapters 1 through 3, and 21 through 24, and Annexes A and C constitute NFPA 1936; additionally, new requirements for the design, performance, and product labeling on struts were included.
